Which Amsterdam pass fits your trip?
Museums, a canal cruise and trams in one? Then the official I amsterdam City Card is our pick. It runs 24 to 120 hours from first use and includes the GVB network (trams, buses, metro and ferries), a canal cruise and a day of bike rental. It is the only pass here with public transport. The catch: the Van Gogh Museum is not part of it.
Plenty of attractions over one to five days? The Go City All-Inclusive Pass runs for consecutive days and adds a hop-on hop-off bus. You can cancel it free of charge within 90 days of purchase as long as it is not activated. Public transport is not included.
Only a few sights, no rush? With the Explorer Pass you choose your attractions and have 30 days from your first visit to use them. The Essentials Pass is the lower-priced way in, with a smaller selection. Neither includes public transport.
When you do not need a pass: If the Van Gogh Museum is your main reason to come, book it on its own with a time slot, because neither the City Card nor the All-Inclusive Pass includes it. And if you only plan one or two museums, compare the single tickets with the pass price first.

Special feature: Unlimited use of public transport (GVB buses, streetcars, metro, ferries) is included. However, the Van Gogh Museum is not included.

Go City All-Inclusive Pass
Focus on top attractions and experiences with over 50 sights and tours. Includes popular highlights such as Heineken Experience, A'DAM Lookout, This is Holland, Rijksmuseum and Madame Tussauds.
Seasonal bonus: Access to Keukenhof including transfer available. Public transportation is not included.

Amsterdam has passes from two providers plus a digital combination ticket. The official I amsterdam City Card comes as Total Experience and as Explorer. Go City sells an Essentials, an Explorer and an All-Inclusive Pass. The Amsterdam Digital Pass bundles a museum of your choice with a canal cruise.
Is public transport included in an Amsterdam pass? +
Included in full only in the I amsterdam City Card Total Experience. It covers the GVB network: trams, buses, metro and ferries. The Explorer variant of the same card leaves it out, and so does every Go City pass. In the Amsterdam Digital Pass a ticket for 1, 2 or 3 days is one of the options.
Is the Van Gogh Museum part of the passes? +
Not in the I amsterdam City Card. If the Van Gogh Museum is your reason for coming, look at the Amsterdam Digital Pass: you can pick the museum there with a fixed time slot, plus a canal cruise. Slots there are pre-booked, so you do not queue for a ticket on the day.
